Asset Management

By enrolling in one of VALIC’s voluntary advisory services programs – Guided Portfolio Services^® (GPS) or Managed Investment Program^®(MIP) – you can receive objective and actionable investment advice from industry experts, while also enjoying the convenience of having someone manage your assets for you. The advice provides valuable answers to such important questions as how much to save for retirement, which funds to select, and how much to invest in each. The asset management automatically implements your investment advice, then monitors and manages your account on an ongoing basis.

VALIC, long renowned for its commitment to superb customer service, offers expert investment advice and fee-based asset management to our customers. GPS is available for Portfolio Director^® Fixed and Variable Annuity and mutual fund assets in your employer-sponsored plans while MIP is available for assets outside of those products as well as employer-sponsored plans.

Guided Portfolio Services^®

Guided Portfolio Services (GPS) supports the management of your retirement account with objective advice from independent financial expert Ibbotson Associates. With GPS you can choose between two service levels – Portfolio Advisor for advice only, or Portfolio Manager for advice with ongoing asset management.

Managed Investment Program^®

Managed investment Program (MIP) supports the management of your retail investment account with objective advice from independent professional investment managers. With MIP, you can invest in different options holding a wide range of investments including mutual funds, ETFs, and individual stocks and bonds.
