In serving the consultant community, we’re committed to design, build, and manage a “Best in Class” Consultant Experience. We will place the Consultant needs first at every touch point and deploy the resources and technology that enables the experience. The exceptional Consultant Relations team I am about to introduce to you will help you stay informed on developments in the market and within VALIC. Our team is focused, accountable and executes.
We continue to take steps to enhance your experience working with VALIC, through a high-touch engagement model. In the past year, we’ve added four new Vice Presidents of Consultant Relations to serve our regions. We have hired with the focus to provide value and to build long-term relationships. We recognize the incredible value you bring to plan sponsors, and providing you with accessible connections to our business is just one of the many ways we hope to deepen our partnership with you. I would like you to meet our new team members:
Michelle has nearly 25 years of retirement plan experience working with consultants, advisors and plan sponsors. Her expertise spans all types of retirement plans, including defined benefit, 401(k), 403(b) and 457 plans. In her most recent position prior to joining VALIC, Michelle was focused on growing relationships with key distribution partners and building out a new advisor channel service model. Michelle will be carrying out our new consultant experience vision in the West.
Jesse’s experience in the retirement industry includes the Corporate, TPA, Banking, and Financial Services environments. He has served in numerous capacities, including Relationship Manager, Retirement Benefit Analyst, Benefit Consultant and Benefits Administrator. Jesse will be carrying out our consultant experience vision in the Southeast.
Rob joins us with an extensive background in retirement services that includes 16 years at Cammack LaRhette as vice president of Investment Services, where he was responsible for developing and maintaining the company’s comprehensive investment due diligence process as well as managing client relationships. In addition, he has extensive experience working with non-profit and healthcare organizations in the Northeast. He will be carrying out our new consultant experience vision in the Northeast.
With nearly 30 years in all aspects of financial services, Shawn began his career as a Registered Associate with PaineWebber, learning our industry starting at the front lines. Shawn joins VALIC from Lincoln Financial Group, where his role was to manage firm level relationships assessing firm needs, helping make it easier for retirement firms to do more business, providing unique, revenue generating solutions to individual retirement advisors and consultants that helped them manage their practices and grow their businesses. Shawn will be carrying out our new consultant experience vision in the Midwest.
